Mr. Corey Marohn

Corey Marohn

Principal, Teacher

My name is Corey Marohn. I serve as the principal & 6-8th grade teacher at St. John – St. James. I have been teaching for 17 years. My ministry began as a teacher and athletic director at Abiding Word in Houston, Texas. I have also served at Emanuel Lutheran School in New London, WI and Emmanuel Lutheran School in Tempe, Arizona.

During my grade school years, I attended Trinity Lutheran School in Neenah, WI and high school at Fox Valley Lutheran (FVL) in Appleton, WI. It was during my time at FVL that it was clear I wanted to be a teacher. The Lord led me to Martin Luther College (MLC) in New Ulm, MN. I graduated from MLC in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree. After teaching for several years, I began taking courses at Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI. In 2009 I graduated with a Master of Arts in Education degree.

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Sarah, for 17 years. Sarah also teaches at St. John – St. James. The Lord has blessed us with 5 beautiful children. Lynsey, our oldest, is currently a sophomore at Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Emily, Hailey, Abby and Ethan are all students at St. John – St. James.

I love spending time with my family. We love the outdoors and going “up north” during the summer months. I enjoy hunting and fishing, especially with my kids. I also am an avid Packer, Brewer, Badger and Bucks fan. I also enjoy reading and drinking large amounts of coffee. The kids are all very involved in athletics. We spend a lot of time in the bleachers at various athletic events.
